A selection of his books will be available for purchase at the event through Powell's Books and a book signing will immediately follow the dinner program.
Honoring Chris Tanner & Lisa Chickadonz
Strong and gracious advocates for equal rights
This year we honor Chris and Lisa with the Remington Award given to individuals or groups who, by significant personal sacrifice, have contributed to the advancement or defense of civil liberties and civil rights.
More than two decades ago they made a courageous stand and were willing to expose their private lives to public and media scrutiny. As a result, thousands of gay and lesbian employees could provide their domestic partners with health insurance. They made history again last year as plaintiffs in ACLU's lawsuit challenging Oregon's ban on marriages between same-sex couples.
