Staff Attorney

Pronouns

she/her

At the ACLU of Oregon, Rachel engages with teammates, coalition partners, and community members to develop litigation strategy and engage in conscientious, equitable legal advocacy.  She is particularly passionate about defending Oregonians’ civil liberties in the context of emerging and rapidly evolving technologies. A graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law and Reed College, Rachel has called the Pacific Northwest home for most of her adult life.  She typically seeks rest and rejuvenation between the pages of the book, on long tramps through the woods with her husband and perpetually muddy dog, and in the comfortable clutter of her kitchen, where she loves to potter about trying new recipes (usually making quite a mess in the process).
