SB 424 requires Oregon law enforcement agencies to establish mental health wellness policy to address issues related to the mental health and wellness of law enforcement officers. By establishing a mental health wellness policy, law enforcement officers will receive better support when navigating a high-level stress environment. This will in turn have a positive impact on law enforcement interactions with members of the public.
