Sandy leads the ACLU of Oregon team, working with the entire ACLU of Oregon community — staff, board members, volunteers, and supporters — to help create an Oregon of greater justice, equity, and care. In addition to overall leadership responsibilities, Sandy loves supporting and getting involved with projects and programs across the ACLU of Oregon team, including integrated advocacy, development, administration, communications & storytelling, legal, and policy. Sandy and her family immigrated from South Korea to the United States and during the 1980s, her family lived on Alberta Street in Northeast Portland and operated Alameda Cleaners. To rest and rejuvenate, Sandy enjoys Oregon’s coast, lakes, and rivers; she also loves crabbing, cooking oysters on beach fires, and surfing.
