Tell state lawmakers to create more - not less! - accountability for police violence, brutality & killing.

In 2020, we took to Portland streets for 100 days straight. For accountability & racial justice - to stop police violence & killing.

How did Portland Police respond? By tear gassing entire communities & homes with kids. By shooting munitions at heads & beating people with batons. By breaking bones & spilling blood. With more than 6000 uses of force.

Now, Portland is asking Oregon legislators to weaken a 2021 law that limits police use of tear gas & munitions weapons. Why? Because police don’t like how the law limits them from using tear gas & munitions. In other words: they don’t want accountability & restrictions on their violence.

Portland is fighting for police’s use of war weapons against our communities less than one week after Amir Locke, a sleeping Black man, was shot to death by Minneapolis police. Portland does this three weeks after grudgingly admitting that Portland police were using extremist training materials with violent & dehumanizing attitudes towards protestors.

Tell state legislators: Do not let police brutalize people & communities with tear gas & munitions weapons.

TAKE & SEND THIS ACTION ALERT TO YOUR COMMUNITIES. IT'S QUICK & EASY.
