You can still change your legal name and gender marker on Oregon state identification documents, such as drivers’ licenses.

That process has not changed. Oregon DMV issues standard and REAL ID credentials with options for M, F, and X for the gender marker.

As of February 2025, the U.S. Department of State has stopped allowing transgender, intersex, and nonbinary people to update the gender marker on their passports and other federal documents and records, and eliminated the X marker option on passports.
