During the 2024 Oregon legislative session, our community fought with courage and care for real solutions to address our state’s drug addiction crisis.
We also fought with passion and deep conviction to protect students, teachers, and librarians in our public schools from discriminatory book bans and censorship.
Despite our setbacks and an uphill battle, we are tremendously grateful for our community, coalition partners, and everyone who advocated alongside us to create a more just, equitable, and caring Oregon.
In this report, we detail ACLU of Oregon's policy priorities, challenges, impacts from the session, ways to get involved in the future, and how to stay up-to-date on our forthcoming work.
